On October 25, the 2023 G-Mark Design Award ceremony was held in Tokyo. The high-end smartphone MEIZU 20 INFINITY (Infinity Edition), designed by Xingji Meizu Group, won the G-Mark Design Award for its exceptionally pure design philosophy and outstanding product quality. As the most authoritative and influential design award in Asia, it is often referred to as the "Oscar of Eastern Design." Award-winning works receive the G-Mark symbol, signifying excellence in design and superior quality. The MEIZU 20 INFINITY (Infinity Edition) stood out among 5,447 entries, representing a high level of recognition from international design experts and consumers for the capabilities of Xingji Meizu Group.
The MEIZU 20 INFINITY (Infinity Edition) features an innovative Infinite Design language, with the panel covering the frame. Its 2.48 mm ultra-narrow four-sided bezels and an impressive 91% screen-to-body ratio create a perfect fusion between the frame and the display, giving the illusion that the screen “overflows” from the surface. This marks the first time in the industry that an edge-to-edge visual experience has been achieved on the front, embodying the boundless design concept in the palm of your hand. Its pure and exquisite design has won the favor of many judges, and it has been recommended for exhibition at the Good Design Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo.
At the same time, the MEIZU 20 INFINITY (Infinity Edition) rear camera breaks free from the limitations of traditional modules by eliminating the metallic ring design around the lens. Instead, it features an integrated sapphire lens that creates a seamless, boundary-less look, offering exceptional durability and scratch resistance.
G-Mark Design Award judge Shi Xiaoxi noted that the MEIZU 20 INFINITY (Infinity Edition) completely removes all embellishments, embodying an ultra-pure design philosophy. The handling of the camera area, in particular, showcases this purity beautifully, reflecting exceptional quality and character. In an era when the smartphone industry often leans toward excessive design, this device has taken a completely different direction.
“The purity of the form also reflects extreme confidence in quality,” noted Shi Xiaoxi. She emphasized that the premium material quality and craftsmanship of the MEIZU 20 INFINITY (Infinity Edition) provide strong support for its minimalist design.
To achieve the borderless design, the MEIZU 20 INFINITY (Infinity Edition) utilizes two pieces of titanium glass to cover both the front and back, a rare practice in the industry. Compared to other types of glass, titanium glass enhances overall drop resistance by four times, allowing the smartphone to withstand impacts while perfectly combining artistry with practicality.
