Xingji Meizu Group's Shen Ziyu was Awarded the 2023 Automotive Annual Technology Person

On November 18, the 21st Century Automotive Industry Annual Conference (2023) was held in Guangzhou, organized by 21st Century Business Herald and China Automotive Finance. Industry elites, tech giants, emerging enterprises, leaders of the supply chain, and experts gathered together for this event. During the conference, the winners of the "21st Century Automotive Industry Competitiveness Research 'Golden Engine' Case Awards (2023)" were announced, including categories for individuals, companies and brands, and vehicle models. Shen Ziyu, Chairman and CEO of Xingji Meizu Group, was awarded the title of 2023 Automotive Annual Technology Person and was invited to give a keynote speech on "How Mobile Phones Empower the Automotive Ecosystem."

The 21st Century Automotive Industry Annual Conference is a highly influential event in the automotive sector, and the awards presented by the "Golden Engine" Case Research on Automotive Industry Competitiveness have attracted significant attention within the industry. This research has consistently upheld principles of independence, objectivity, and comprehensiveness, relying on publicly available and transparent data for selection.

The expert panel comprises representatives from third-party organizations, automotive industry associations, former leaders of automotive groups, and some influential figures in the automotive sector. They conduct a thorough evaluation of the nominated cases based on their performance, achievements, highlights, and shortcomings over the past year. Through both offline and online scoring methods, they select the leading individuals and benchmark enterprises in China's automotive industry for 2023. This process highlights outstanding companies, individuals, brands, and vehicle models, outlining representative directions for the development of the Chinese automotive industry and promoting its upgrade and transformation.

During the conference themed "Evolved for Progress," a significant emphasis was placed on the role of software ecosystems as a critical area for automotive companies to establish differentiated advantages in the current "software-defined vehicle" era. The discussion revolved around how cross-industry integration can empower the automotive ecosystem.

In his keynote speech, Shen Ziyu, Chairman and CEO of Xingji Meizu Group, articulated that in the era of "Automotive 3.0," semiconductor technology, operating systems, and software ecosystems represent core advantages and scarce capabilities. He emphasized that the most promising players in the market are large tech companies like Huawei, Xiaomi, and Xingji Meizu, which integrate mobile phones and cars, combine software and hardware, and unify smart terminals and the Internet of Things.

Shen pointed out that the development of the automotive industry is no longer confined to linear technological innovations. Instead, it has evolved into a multifaceted approach that encompasses artificial intelligence, seamless interactions, terrestrial and aerial communications, and cross-industry connectivity capabilities, driving innovation through the convergence of various technologies.

Shen Ziyu, a graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is a pioneer and authoritative expert in China's vehicle networking industry, with a long-standing focus on vehicle networking and smart connected technologies. Since founding his first company in 2016, he has been instrumental in integrating the upstream and downstream of the intelligent mobility industry by establishing several firms, including Chipin Technology, Ecocom Technology, and Xingji Meizu Group. These ventures aim to create a software-hardware integrated open platform for intelligent connected ecosystems, continuously driving the deep integration of consumer electronics and the automotive industry in China.

In the era of the Internet of Everything, cross-industry collaboration shapes higher commercial value. Shen Ziyu was the first to propose the concept of "Mobile Domain," which transcends the traditional five domains of automotive technology (power, chassis, body, cabin, and autonomous driving) by introducing a "sixth domain" that integrates mobile phones into vehicles as an integral part. His keen insight into the automotive industry entering the 3.0 era—where smart technology and ecological integration become keywords—further underscores the trend of merging the consumer electronics and automotive sectors. Xingji Meizu Group exemplifies this new era in the automotive industry.

As noted in the award citation, "He wears many hats and seizes opportunities, bravely facing challenges. Under his leadership, the young Ecocom rang the bell on Nasdaq, bringing Meizu back to the track and successfully achieving the mass production of China's first automotive-grade 7nm intelligent cockpit chip, 'Dragon Eagle 1,' marking a significant breakthrough in the field of high-end automotive chips." In the second half of automotive intelligence, Shen Ziyu, with an open mindset and international perspective, actively constructs a global intelligent mobility technology ecosystem.
