In the future, the trajectory of both industries will definitely involve a unified integration that offers a multi-terminal, all-scenario, and immersive experience aimed at a shared user base.”
The 2023 China Entrepreneur Boao Forum was co-hosted by Xinhua News Agency, the Hainan Provincial People's Government, and the China Brand Construction Promotion Association, with the Xinhua News Agency's Brand Work Office and Xinhua Net as the organizers. The 2023 New Trends in Automotive Marketing Forum, themed "Insights into New Trends," brought together numerous stakeholders from the automotive industry, including government officials, associations, enterprises, experts, and media representatives, to discuss new trends in the automotive industry and innovations in marketing models.
As a leader in the "Car-Phone Connectivity" space, Xingji Meizu Group's cutting-edge insights and practices in the integration of consumer electronics and the automotive industry became a major highlight of the conference, garnering widespread attention from attendees.
In the context of the automotive industry entering the second half of its smart transformation, new business models and operational paradigms are continuously emerging. Notably, the phenomenon of smartphone manufacturers venturing into automotive manufacturing and vice versa has garnered significant attention within the industry. Huang Zhipan, Executive Vice President and President of the Mobile Division at Xingji Meizu Group, stated, "In the era of smart automobiles, vehicles are no longer merely modes of transportation; there is an urgent need to expand their usage scenarios. While smartphones are at the forefront of the industry in terms of chips, mobile internet, and ecosystems, they also need to connect with more terminals to meet the increasingly diverse needs of consumers. Therefore, the mutual engagement between the automotive and smartphone industries is an inevitable trend in the development of smart vehicles."
Since its establishment, Xingji Meizu Group has focused on a business development curve centered around "smartphones + XR + smart vehicles." Through over a decade of systematic innovation, foundational restructuring, and cross-industry integration, the company has achieved synergy in data, teams, and computational power, establishing itself as a leading player in the convergence of consumer electronics and the automotive industry.
Addressing the question of "What can consumer electronics companies bring to the automotive industry?" Xingji Meizu Group's exploratory solution is to transform the technological architecture of smart vehicles by creating a new concept known as the "Phone Area," thereby deeply empowering the automotive sector.
The "Phone Area" concept represents a "sixth Area" that goes beyond the traditional five Areas of automobiles (power Area, chassis Area, body Area, cabin Area, and autonomous driving Area), allowing smartphones to seamlessly integrate and become an integral part of vehicles. Currently, Xingji Meizu Group has launched the Meizu 20 and Meizu 21 flagship smartphones, MYVU AR smart glasses, the FlymeOS ecosystem, and the new "Phone-Vehicle Integration" solution Flyme Link. These innovations enable seamless connectivity and ecological and capability sharing among smartphones, smart AR glasses, and automotive systems.
Huang Zhipan emphasized, "Phone-Vehicle Integration can accelerate the transition of ordinary and traditional cars to smart vehicles, enriching and enhancing the ecosystem for smart automobiles." This initiative also marks a new direction that Xingji Meizu Group is exploring and pioneering within the industry.
Looking ahead, Xingji Meizu Group will continue to drive the cross-industry integration of consumer electronics and the automotive sector along the business development curve of "smartphones + XR + smart vehicles." The company aims to collaborate with global partners to bring more innovation and breakthroughs to the era of Smart Vehicles 3.0, providing consumers with a more convenient and intelligent travel experience.
