On November 28th, the WISE 2023 Business King Conference, organized by 36Kr, opened with over a hundred experts, scholars, and industry elites engaging in high-level discussions on cutting-edge business topics. Su Jing, co-founder and president of Meizu Group, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech on "The Integration of Consumer Electronics and the Automotive Industry."
As a typical representative of the fusion of technology and business, smart cars have become one of the most dynamic tracks in China's industrial system. Looking at the present and the future, where is the smart automotive industry headed? In her keynote speech, Su Jing, co-founder and president of Meizu Group, stated, “The deep integration of consumer electronics and the automotive industry is the latest trend in the development of smart cars. With the automotive industry entering the 3.0 era of intelligence, the ecosystem based on ‘vehicle-mobile interconnectivity’ is rapidly developing, where semiconductor technology, operating systems, and software ecosystems have become core advantages and scarce capabilities. Companies that integrate mobile phones and cars, such as ‘Huawei, Xiaomi, and Meizu’, embody the integration of software and hardware, as well as smart terminals and the Internet of Things, making them the truly promising players in this field.”
With the rapid development of the smart mobility sector, Meizu Group has gained significant attention at the WISE 2023 Business King Conference due to its forward-looking strategies and outstanding practical achievements. The group focuses on “empowering cars with the capabilities of consumer electronics” and has pioneered the “mobile domain” concept, which extends beyond the traditional five domains of automotive design (power domain, chassis domain, body domain, cockpit domain, and autonomous driving domain) to introduce a “sixth domain.” This innovation allows smartphones to truly integrate into vehicles, continuously delivering new functionalities to the entire car.
Su Jing emphasized, “By allowing smartphones to provide hardware and computational support for vehicles, we can continuously deliver new capabilities to the entire car. Upgrading a smartphone effectively upgrades the car, alleviating consumer anxiety about the ‘outdated hardware’ of automobiles.” To achieve this, Meizu Group has undergone systematic innovation, foundational restructuring, and cross-industry integration, enabling seamless connections in data, teams, and computational power, thus opening new directions for the industry.
At the same time, 36Kr prominently announced the "SHE POWER·2023 Influential Women" and "Annual Business Woman Leader" awards, with Su Jing being named the Annual Business Woman Leader. She shares this honor with notable figures such as Dong Mingzhu, Chairwoman of Gree Electric Appliances; Meng Wanzhou, Vice Chairwoman of Huawei; and Zhang Nan, CEO of Douyin Group.
As stated in the award citation: “Su Jing, as the President of Meizu Group and a pioneer in the cross-industry integration of consumer electronics and the automotive sector, brings a new direction for development to these industries through her visionary strategic thinking and continuous innovation capabilities. As a female leader, she demonstrates remarkable leadership and creativity. Whether calmly addressing challenges or boldly advancing through transformation, Su Jing showcases admirable resilience and wisdom, embodying the essence of ‘resilience and wisdom’ through her actions.”
